You’re hosting a dinner party for your five favourite fictional characters. Who would you invite and why?
Thank you to the lovely Jo over at Online Blanket Fort for tagging me to do this post. With all the chaos and uncertainty in the world at the minute, it was pretty nice to sit down and forget about it for a half hour by focusing on something silly and fun. Highly recommend.
So, who would I invite to a fictional dinner party and why…
KADY GRANT (THE ILLUMINAE FILES)
Kady Grant was the first character that sprang to mind when picturing my fictional dinner party. She is intelligent, brave, snarky, and an all-round badass so it’s no wonder that she’s at the top of my guest list! Besides, after everything Kady goes through, she deserves a nice, normal dinner party with a few gal pals.
LUNA LOVEGOOD (HARRY POTTER)
Anyone who knows me knows I just had to invite someone from Harry Potter to my dinner party. Luna has always been one of my favourite characters. Can you just imagine the conversations you could have with her and the stories she’d tell? With Luna at the table, this would certainly not be a dull dinner party!
NINA ZENIK (SIX OF CROWS)
Being hilarious and possessing an enormous sweet tooth means Nina would be the perfect choice for one of my dinner parties. Nina feels like one of those characters that I would get on with like a house on fire!
AUDREY ROSE WADSWORTH (STALKING JACK THE RIPPER)
I read Stalking Jack the Ripper this year and fell in love with Audrey Rose from the beginning. I’m obsessed with shows such as How to Get Away With Murder and Criminal Minds, so I definitely think Audrey Rose and I would get on perfectly! She’s spunky and independent and not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. There’s no way I couldn’t include Audrey Rose on my guest list!
CATARINA AGATTA (THIS MORTAL COIL)
Being one of my all-time favourite characters means I had to include Cat on the list. I adore the development she goes through in the This Mortal Coil trilogy (if you haven’t read, fully recommend). I love her sense of humour in the face of darkness, love her loyalty, her determination, and her strength. Plus, considering what’s going on in the world currently, Cat would be able to give me some tips on surviving a pandemic!
