WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted on Taking on a World of Words. WWW Wednesday is where you answer three questions based on your reading in the past week.

What are you currently reading?

I’ve had some very exciting book mail this week, including Aurora Burning to The Ballads of Songbirds and Snakes. I started reading both today and I’m very excited to read more. My sister is also currently reading it and so I’m probably going to prioritise it above all the other books I want to read so that I can talk to her about it. I absolutely loved The Hunger Games as a teenager and so I’m very excited to dive into this world again, even if it is a story about a young President Snow!

What did you recently finish reading?

I picked up The Devouring Gray on a whim after getting a free subscription to Kindle Unlimited until the end of May. I’ve had this book on my radar for a while but it wasn’t one I was rushing to prioritise. But I decided to pick this up to get the most out of Kindle Unlimited. I was thoroughly surprised at how much I enjoyed this. While I found the plot predictable and lacking substance, I found I really enjoyed the characters, the writing, and the atmosphere. Very excited to read the sequel!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Each week I do this I mention a different book. But have I read any of those books I’ve mentioned here? No. No, I have not. Will I? Well hopefully. So I still want to read We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal, preferably before my May Fairyloot box turns up as it contains items inspired by the book. But I also want to tackle one of the books I mentioned in my previous post which was all about the books I want to read before the end of 2020. I think the first book I’ll get to out of those is going to be The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon.
